• “Good food & great beer garden”. Spent a couple of hours here waiting and decided to have dinner. Ordered the New Orleans Chicken with Blue Cheese Sauce and got it pretty fast. The soda in the sunny garden was lovely and the dinner innsiden by the telly (watching the tennis) was great. Good atmosphere and the food was lovely! Very nice service from Sean the barman who gave tips for things to do as well as good tips on the menu at the bar. Will go by again next time I stop by Lancaster area.

• “A nice place to stop for a meal or just a drink” On travelling the Lancaster canal at the weekend we decided to moor up at Galgate. We stopped at The Plough for a coffee and a bit of an elevenses - garlic bread with cheese. We sat out in the sunshine in the beautiful well stocked gardens; service was good. The Plough has a varied menu and is reasonably priced; We will definitely recommend this to our friends and fellow boaters.

• “This pub serves HUGE portions so beware!!!” What a lovey place this was. GREAT FOOD, great buzz and very pleasant staff. I would really recommend this pub for a lovely meal.

• “Great Place” Popular with students, this place offers mind-bogglingly large portions and some pretty good prices. Staff aren't overly friendly, but efficient and somehow thats a good combination at The Plough. Typical pub decor inside.

• “really good pub food” The menu was great because the choice was vast. The food came quickly and the portions larger than i expected. service was average but not bad by any means. Will be going back soon.

• “brilliant” I went with a few mates for a nice dinner we walk in straight away we get served (perfect) we sat out side in STAR weather and watched local lads play footie a lovely day
